Position Title: Infrastructure Analyst (STORAGE)

Duration: Full Time

Location: Newark, NJ

Job Summary:

This position provides support for a 24 x 7 x 365 multi-vendor, 2 PB, 3000 fiber port SAN environment supporting 3000 servers in multiple datacenters.  Candidates will be required to provide level 2 and level 3 support for SAN operations, which includes monitoring storage frames, carving and presenting LUNs, providing SAN support, asset management, and participating in enterprise project activity.

Responsibilities:

·         Support the following operating systems: Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, MS geo-dispersed Clustering technologies

·         Support SAN infrastructure including fiber directors, fiber switches, fiber routers, HBAs and day to day operations within SAN infrastructure

·         Plan and administer zoning, LUN masking, RAID levels

·         Plan and administer the following SAN SW: HP Storage Essentials, HP XP Performance Advisor, HP 3PAR System Reporter, HP EVA perfmon, IBM Nseries System Manager, IBM Data Fabric Manager, Brocade DCFM

·         Support SAN technologies such as storage replication, fiber routing, DWDM and others

·         Additional activities include: Deploying and configuring storage frames, blade fiber switches, fiber cable management and monitoring SAN environmental

·         Document processes and procedures for infrastructure support

·         Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge:

·         Requires knowledge of distributed computing platforms

·         Requires knowledge of technologies and products described earlier

·         Prefer knowledge of health insurance industry environment

Education:

BS in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or related field Experience:

·         5+ years related IT work experience in the health insurance industry, preferably with a Blue Cross Blue Shield plan

·         Experience with the following:

·         HP XP, 3PAR, EVA and MSA

·         IBM 8000 Series, XIV, Nseries SONAS and SVC

·         Brocade DCXs, switches and routers

·         Emulex and Qlogic HBAs

Skills and Abilities:
